Ibni Haldun University Humanitarian Aid Volunteering Training
As İlksenol Association, we visited Ibn Haldun University students and organised an information meeting on Humanitarian Volunteering. Our aim was to emphasise the importance of humanitarian aid to young people from different backgrounds and encourage them to contribute to local communities. In this meeting, dynamic participants between the ages of 18-35 were provided with information enabling them to act in the fields of humanitarian aid, recovery and protection based on the principles of impartiality, humanity, independence and fairness.
As İlksenol Association, we provided information about the ‘European Solidarity Corps’ and ‘European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps’, which are projects carried out within the scope of European Solidarity Union support. Within the scope of these projects, short (2 weeks-2 months) and long-term (12 months) humanitarian volunteering trainings were provided. These trainings aim to contribute to the personal and professional development of students by enabling them to participate in international humanitarian aid projects.
Within the framework of this cooperation protocol, we aim to strengthen social responsibility awareness and support social participation with these opportunities offered to Ibn Haldun University students. As İlksenol Association, we will continue our efforts to raise the awareness and active role of young people in the field of humanitarian aid. Through these meetings and trainings, we aim to increase the value that students will provide to local and international communities through their participation in international humanitarian aid projects.
